The clear epoxy finish on the one I received today was scuffed as if it had been sliding on a shelf for awhile. And it had bubble flaws, exposing the wood of the pinecone in some small places. But for $36 I was not expecting perfection, and to be fair epoxy handles are going to get that way just by being used anyway. The rest of the knife is great! Overall it could be a little longer in the handle to fit a hand better, but again...I was not expecting perfection. The sheath was a very nice surprise...decent leather and a fantastic snug fit for the knife! The steel is also great, and is worth the price all on its own. I am very pleased and would recommend this knife with the above provisos without hesitation.

I bought this knife for my husband for Christmas. When he opened it, I could tell he liked the look of it immediately, but was cautious about praise. Once he tested the blade, he knew this gorgeous knife wasn't like an empty headed bimbo: all looks and no substance. The thing could actually cut! Christmas Day he was a tape cutting fool for all who needed assistance during gift opening time. Finally, he said loudly, "This knife is awesome! I LOVE it!" Ever since, he's shown it off like the proud husband of an adored bride. Ladies, get him the knife! There's so much more to it than a pretty face.
